with a different mouse and it works with this mouse !
( It works as well with the notebook integrated touch pad )
Do I have do install a special new driver for the other mouse ?
Is it possible, that an update changes mouse drivers ?
Thanks for your feedback
Kind Regards

Same problem here with HP ZBook 17 G2.
Woraround with hdajackretask works. Shouldn't this be autodetected by now?
What options should I supply to make the workaround unnecessary?

I think there may be multiple conditions for the error message (broken pipe),
some possibly related to the nvidia driver (according to the position in the

You are right, sorry. It was not the same problem, and a reboot solved

This is still an issue.
Since the default kernel was automatically changed to a -pae variant some time

HP550: No sound from laptop speakers, only from headphone in karmic
Hi again,
after I saw that I also have no sound in a fresh boot of some live CDs I sent
this laptop to HP for a warranty repair, and they replaced the built-in
speakers, so there probably was some hardware problem. Sorry...
Now maybe as a consequence of all my tries before I still have a
