and the menu can be manipulated blindly.
Upon further investigation, /boot/grub/menu.lst contains a reference to
/boot/grub/default-splash.xpm.gz, which is a symlink to a file that does
not exist

I can confirm that this bug occurs every time I click on the clock
applet.
Attached is a strace that I attached to my gnome-panel process before
clicking on the clock applet. It seems to hang on a mutex, waiting for
something.

I have used the --indirect-rendering option for half a day, and haven't seen
black windows, as I described in my report.
However, now, when I maximize windows, they end up half painted, or fuzzy, and
do not get any further visual updates. This seems to occur intermittently, and

Hi Jani,
If the latest version of dolfin builds with the current version of
cmake, then we can wait for upstream to fix this issue. As far as I can
tell (but would like to check more thoroughly at some point), this issue
doesn't affect any other packages in ubuntu.
