The 20090311.2 version shows the same. I continued with the installation
and the installed boot did not show a crash. But after trying to install
decoder packages for amarok there was first a problem with python and in
the process of reporting this, there was the nepomukservicestub crash
again.

Hi Dave, you just add it to the list, no restart required. If you are
interested in knowing what is going on, you could modify
/usr/lib/pm-utils/functions (_rmmod) to echo the module unloaded.
USB should be safe but ultimately it would be good to corner the smallest set
of modules that would hel

solved in more recent kernels and there was a work-around for the older
ones. By saying the problem is still there, it is not clear to me
whether it is the MSI problem. Can you use the driver with "msi=0
msix=0"?

For the MSI problem probably the best way to proceed would be to try out
the latest vanilla kernel and if that fails as well go and open an
upstream bug. Unfortunately MSI can break on various levels (IO-APIC -
pci bridge - card), so it can work for some and still fail for others.

because it is using the v4l1 API and uvcvideo supports only v4l2. i don't know

riddle is not that mysterious as yesterday. What I forgot somehow was,
that in the smb3 kernel (when I used completion), I also removed the
enable call for the handlers from acpi_boot_ec_enable(). This was done

responding. And after seeing the patch that i used for serialization failing
too, I reviewed the comment that made me think there is a race at that place.
Unfortunately it turns out to be a false positive. The message

this is not a very efficient way to proceed.

options) and remove the quiet keyword.

I have to apologize. There hasn't been any change in that kernel
regarding this bug. That one added fixes for some other bug, while
keeping the same patches as before for the cups problem. So this would
have been rather a surprise if it changed anything for you.

Unfortunately I had not much time the last days to make progress. Just a
note to you (and also to myself not to forget): One detail I noticed is
that first the clocksource should be tsc (because there is the message
later about that being unstable) but actually this should be marked
unstable much s

Impact: iov_iter_advance() skips over zero-length iovecs, however it

nothing additional which is not in upstream). Are your pauses the same as for
Carl, meaning the boot process stops but can be triggered with any keyboard
key. And after boot everything looks ok?
