Thanks, Andrew. I tested the patch on several machines and it does the
job on all of them.

Thanks. I get the first initialization alert but it fails on

A workaround is described here:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1584388. Boot in Windows, turn
on bluetooth, turn off bluetooth/wifi in hardware with fn-12, and boot
in Linux. This is just a workaround; it's suboptimal having to install
Windows to get working bluetooth.

My xorg.conf is attached. I ran 'aticonfig --initial' and I believe it
completely replaced the old xorg.conf. That is, the one attached here is
create by aticonfig. I have applied the bios update btw.

You received this bug notification because
With the latest kernel from the ubuntu kernel git repositories
(2.9.39rc7) and catalyst 11.5, I got it to suspend and resume a few
times. It's very unstable - most times it doesn't suspend as mentioned
above. I tried with 'aticonfig --acpi-services=off' but I'm not sure it
made a difference.

I have the same problem on an AMD E-350 system (HP dm1 laptop) and
kernel 2.6.38. Downgrading to 2.6.37 or lower fixes the problem, but it
is still there with 2.6.39 from the kernel-ppa.
