I now managed to unload / load all alsa modules properly and sound is
working afterwards but sill no change to EAC3 passthrough (AC3/DTS still
working). I used:
pulseaudio -k
sudo alsa force-reload
pulseaudio --start
There is a workaround: Unplug the HDMI cable, plug it in again and and
switch
Public bug reported:
My Canon TS705 printer stopped working in Ubuntu. Last time I used it
was over a week ago so it could be something with the updates installed
in the last two weeks. The printer queue says "filter failed". I've
attached the cups log of the last print job.
I already tried
Already done ;)

But it's a lot harder to reproduce it with the official build. You need
to use the browser for quite some time and then try the method I
mentioned.

Firefox will hang immediately.
Note that I did remove my profile for this test for a clean start. It
also happens with my regular profile. It does NOT happen with the same
firefox version in

I just installed the turboprint trial. With those drivers, it works.
With cups, still the same error.

Canon TS705 printer stopped
I now connected the printer with the network cable instead of USB and it
seems I can use "driverless printing" for this one. Still strange with
the canon driver. Also there should be more users with this issue.

I have a similar issue with a Pulse Secure VPN
After some time and usually after one or more hex dumps were displayed, I get
the following
SSL read error: Error in the pull function.; reconnecting.
SSL negotiation with ...
Connected to HTTPS on ...
Got HTTP response: HTTP/1.1 101 Switching
Downgrading systemd to 245 helped. Of course that's only a temporary
solution.
This is definitely a MAJOR bug that should be resolved ASAP. It makes my
system almost unusable as I'm permanently switching between two
accounts. It's also not the best argument to convince other colleagues
to switch
Public bug reported:
I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 20.10 from 20.04 and now the "Switch User"
functionality is gone. This is a HUGE issue as it completely breaks
multi-user functionality.
Likely it's related to this bug:

There's even more broken. I tried logging on into tty2 with the second
account and then use startx to start a second session. This immediately
makes the first session unusable. Switching back to screen 1 just shows
a black screen.
This way, the system is completely unusable.
