live mode and check if the issue with the open source driver is present

I assume that the "Greybird" window manager theme will not be tweaked,
so using "Greybird-accessibility" by default in Xubuntu sounds like the

I can confirm that the clock panel item does not pick up changes made by
"sudo dpkg-reconfigue tzdata" immediately, but after running
"xfce4-panel --restart" it does.
There is a patch attached in the linked Debian bug report. It is

I suggested to test with MATE's compositing window manager "marco" also.
Any results?
Another test case would be to use xfwm4 with disabled compositor plus
"compton" (standalone compositing manager).
