for the Fedora 8 release I took out the code that disables queues, so no
queues should have been disabled. (Perhaps the reporter meant Fedora 8

authenticates. It does not become the root user at any point. It uses
libcups (the CUPS API) to communicate with the CUPS server using the IPP
protocol. At connection time we specify which user we are connecting as

Thanks, but I still haven't been able to reproduce this here.
I wondered if it's to do with the way the Job Options page re-draws
options that don't have an on-page widget, i.e. the 'Other Options' at
the bottom -- but you don't have any of those set, so I'm stumped.

Easy to implement? Which IPP operation would you use for this? (Note
that it has to work for remote CUPS servers as well as local ones --
like everything else in system-config-printer.)
