Let's get a few facts straight:
I was confused about all the reports regarding joysticks not working
like they were before. What I missed was that X didn't use them by
default, and shouldnt. Adding them to the fdi file on -joystick was only
done to let your devices to work without crashing the ser
just copy the file to /etc/hal/fdi/policy (not in /usr/share/hal, that's
reserved for packages) and be happy. There simply isn't a way to satisfy
all users with the current wacom driver. It cannot be fully configured
with the fdi file, and the interweb is full of examples of how to
copypaste the co
Giovanni, you probably don't have xserver-xorg-input-evdev installed.
Thanks Dan for working on this! I doubt it's the properties code that
broke it, since the new stuff only removed a couple of functions.. but
you seem to have found that out already :)

Serial devices can't be hotplugged. Attach the output of 'lshal' when
the tablet is plugged.
We are not going back to the old way. Jaunty will have a proper GUI to

I can't get it to work even if I create the PDF directory first. cups-
pdf still complains about not being able to create it.
I need to print PDF's from a windows app with wine, and can't think of
another way to do it..

The problem has likely been found:
17:30 < jcristau> tjaalton: dev->enabled is Bool, Bool is typedefed to int, so
*(CARD8*)(&dev->enabled) doesn't look at the right byte on
big endian, aiui
And the upstream bug has a proposed fix for it, please test!
