We have been finding it difficult to reproduce this problem. Can
somebody give the following details of a configuration that reproduces

Did your x-loader changes fix the above issue conclusively.
I had seen similar issue(the one that you have explained in your patch not this
bug) on Blaze and fixed it with this patch(On this tree this would also apply
to Panda).
I can reproduce this problem almost 100% while using the geany editor:
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a simple c file(I use the main.c given below)
2. Open main.c in geany text editor
3. compile the file repeatedly using the geany-crash script given below
4. While this is going on open the file
Some more info. Looks like I am getting the following error on the
standard error when geany crashes:

Here is the output on my optimus laptop.
I suffer from the same issue of no video output on Nvidia, but Intel's working
fine.
Have to go to VT and purge nvidia and restart. Then reinstall nvidia and switch

Then it went into low graphics mode. I switched to a VT and rebooted.
Then it booted fine, but graphics was slightly slower.

Installed nvidia-prime on trusty on kernel 3.13, getting a black screen when
Nvidia enabled.
No video is output to screen when using Nvidia GPU.

I can confirm that this occurs on Linux 3.19 and Nvidia-346.47 as well.
DKMS fails when a new kernel is installed. Need to reinstall or reconfigure
nvidia-346 and nvidia-346-uvm packages manually.

Suspend was working perfectly fine in 14.04

removing dri from /etc/X11/xorg.conf removes this error. But then
when i do a compiz-start my gnome-panel and everything else goes away.
They are still running but it is now visible.

Looking further i found that it always redraw the screen up on quit
from less. I am not sure whether redraw is the exact word to describe it
though. BTW any idea how to disable it ?
