[Bug 1911903] [NEW] Auto-reconnection of wifi doesn't work
Public bug reported: Hi everyone :) It's a problem that occurs without any possible correlation with other event (wake up, sleep etc). In the middle of a session the Wi-Fi simply stop working and not only the system doesn't reconnect automatically, but you need to turn off and back on the Wi-Fi to be able to continue your activities. IDK if it's related, but sometimes also happens that the other Wi-Fi networks around me are not visible in the setting. [Bug 1902087] [NEW] Nvidia driver captures xorg on Ubuntu 20.04
Public bug reported: Hello, I want to use NVIDIA TESLA card on Ubuntu 20.04. Monitor is driven by Intel integrated graphics and the processor is Xeon E. I installed CUDA drivers downloaded from this link : https://docs.nvidia.com/cuda/cuda-installation-guide-linux/index.html#runfile I used the runfile as it was suggested on some posts online. The file I am using is : cuda_11.1.0_455.23.05_linux.run When I install this file and reboot I can't see appearing the log in prompt , Ubuntu shows up until a purple screen but doesn't arrive to the log in screen. the system is up and working as I enabled opensssh-server and I can connect to it correctly. If I install the same file following the same sequence of operations and using the same HW but with Ubuntu 18.04 this problem does not happen. On Ubuntu 18.04 the monitor continues to work correctly after installing the NVIDIA driver and the TESLA card can be used without problems. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: 20.04 intel nvidia ubuntu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1902087 Title: Nvidia driver captures xorg on Ubuntu 20.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1902087/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1902086] [NEW] xorg on Ubuntu 20.04 fails to show correctly background image and icons
Public bug reported: Hello I have PC with Xeon E processor and I am using integrated Intel graphics to drive a VGA display. I am using Ubuntu 20.04 Everything works fine. Then I add xorg.conf file, for other reasons, to /etc/X11 ( by default no xorg.conf file is present ) and I get the first screen after the log in is corrupted by yellow vertical lines and/or corrupted icons and eventually a block box is present at half height of the screen. See here below the incriminated xorg.conf : Section "ServerLayout" Identifier "layout" Screen 0 "intel" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "intel" Driver "intel" BusID "PCI:0:2:0" EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "intel" Device "intel" EndSection and photo of the corrupted screen is attached. If I open terminal or what else looks good but the first screen is always a bit corrupted. If I change the background image , the new background appears without vertical lines. If I go back to the original background image that is still corrupted with vertical lines. I am sure the corruption is because of the xorg.conf file but how can I fix the situation ? I need the xorg.conf file because I want xorg.conf to use only the internal integrated intel graphics and not other graphics cards/drivers that will be present. If I do exactly the same , adding the same xorg.conf file to on Ubuntu 18.04, same HW, same configuration, I don't see this problem. It happens only with Ubuntu 20.04. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: 20.04 xorg ** Attachment added: "1yYZU.jpg" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1902086/+attachment/5429027/+files/1yYZU.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1902086 Title: xorg on Ubuntu 20.04 fails to show correctly background image and icons To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1902086/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1887338] [NEW] The gcc provided by gcc-10 package produces internal compiler errors not present in gcc version 10.1
Public bug reported: BACKGROUND Simple code involving coroutines results in internal compiler errors in the version of gcc provided by this package. I am filing a bug report here because gcc version 10.1 does not produce these errors, and these errors are only present in the compiler version provided by the gcc-10 package. On my system, this version is: g++-10 (Ubuntu 10-20200411-0ubuntu1) 10.0.1 20200411 (experimental) [master revision bb87d5cc77d:75961caccb7:f883c46b4877f637e0fa5025b4d6b5c9040ec566] REPRODUCING THE BUG In order to reproduce the bug, create a file main.cpp and compile as: g++-10 -std=c++20 -fcoroutines main.cpp Compiling this file will produce an internal compiler error. Here, g++-10 invokes the g++ compiler provided by this package. This file should contain the following code (code inside ticks): ``` #include #include // Compiler version resulting in bug: gcc 10.0.1 20200411 (experimental) // Compile with: // g++-10 -std=c++20 -fcoroutines main.cpp struct promise { std::suspend_never initial_suspend() { return {}; } std::suspend_never final_suspend() { return {}; } void return_void() {} bool get_return_object() { return true; } static bool get_return_object_on_allocation_failure() { return false; } [[noreturn]] void unhandled_exception() { std::terminate(); } }; struct result { bool success; result(bool success) : success(success) {} using promise_type = promise; }; result foo() { co_return; } int main() { foo(); } ``` Under the version of gcc provided by this package, the output of compilation is: during RTL pass: expand main.cpp: In function ‘result foo()’: main.cpp:25:1: internal compiler error: in expand_expr_addr_expr_1, at expr.c:8070 25 | } | ^ Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate. See for instructions. Internal compiler errors such as these were fixed in gcc 10.1. Here is a link to Compiler Explorer demonstrating that it compiles fine under 10.1: https://godbolt.org/z/dMrY8r There are many similar code examples that result in internal compiler errors, and I believe the occurrence of these errors will be frustrating for anyone attempting to use C++20 features such as coroutines. In addition, some code examples (such as the one above) only produce a compiler error when there's no optimization flag, but compile fine with optimization enabled. This is extremely unexpected behavior. ** Affects: gcc-10 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1887338 Title: The gcc provided by gcc-10 package produces internal compiler errors not present in gcc version 10.1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gcc-10/+bug/1887338/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
