Download a pdf or a ogg file with firefox and double click on it
Expected Behaviour:
Since this is a distro with a default set of packages, I expect firefox to use
the default apps.

Load OpenOffice. Go to Tools - Options - OpenOffice.org - java -
Class Path - Add Archive. Then browse to the java driver mysql-
connector-java-3.0.17-ga-bin.jar as indicated above. This will include
the driver in your class path.

I am not sure, whether what I am writing is relevant or not, but the
problem relates to whole of Ubuntu 6.10.
I upgraded my Ubuntu 6.06 by 6.10 by gksudo command as given in the
alternate CD. I used to type regularly in Hindi in 6.06, but in the
upgraded version I am not able to proceed beyond
Please refer to bug #63700, where by it is pointed out that during the upgrade
from 6.06 to 6.10, I am unable to type more than one letter with हिंदी कीबोर्ड
in OpenOffice.
In gedit now typing seems to work.
Fresh installation of 6.10 is free from the problem of freezing beyond
single letter.

Recently I updated my OpenOffice as part of regular updates, which
stated that that it tackles issues related to xml to utf-8 conversions.
Later on I found file mysql-connector-java-3.0.17-ga-bin.jar in
~/.openoffice/user/java directory, which I included in my classpath.

included MySQL-server also. The result is same. Still I am unable to
connect MySQL database from OpenOffice 2.0.2 using JDBC driver. No

I also suffered the same problem. This problem was there in Windows
version also till 2.0.1. However, it was found rectified in version
2.0.2 in Windows. Therefore, I was eagerly waiting for Ubuntu 6.06
Dapper Drake which was to come with version 2.0.2. This problem was
found rectified there.
