I am running hardy-server x64 and this really sux.
Someone please explain why this is so:
sudo mount -a -t noproc,nfs,nfs4,smbfs,cifs,ncp,ncpfs,coda,ocfs2,gfs #
this does not work
sudo mount -a -t nfs,nfs4,smbfs,cifs,ncp,ncpfs,coda,ocfs2,gfs,noproc #
This WORKS!!!
What kinda hacky thing is
It has been a while, but I think this will show a leak:
while 1:
d = {'a': 1}
Via regular Python, it works without a leak, but with mod_python, it leaks
(buggy version).
Reference counting is supposed to take care of this (and I don't see any
cycles).

I have the same problem. Trying this behind a proxy.
As you can see in the wireshark output, only one request is made and no request
is made for the .gpg file.

this is how it is done (ugly workaround):

I am having the same problem here. It seems that Synaptic/UpdateManager
resolves in this order: http_proxy(env) - .synaptic/conf - gconf
It seems that gksu sets the incorrect http_proxy env variable and UpdateManager
ends up using this. Even though gconf has the right configuration.

I filed another bug for apt problems behind proxy (I used to get the gunzipped

I suspect this issue will be fixed by that fix as well.
