You can simply switch back to glx: xfconf-query -c xfwm4 -p /general/vblank_mode -t string -s "glx" --create until the issue is fixed in the driver. Then you can set it back to "auto". @philippe734: No surprise as metacity is no compositing window manager. The issue is caused by enabling xpresent for xfwm4 and marco while amdgpu being buggy.
