This bug is a duplicate of 57701.
The culprit is the UUID=. in fstab, if you use /dev/hd it will show.
The bug is in gnome-vfs-code, hald /etc/fstab and /proc/mount don't use the
same value for the device.

gnome-vfs logic for /etc/fstab, /proc/mount is incompatible with the new UUID=
scheme in fstab, they don't use the same name for the device, and there's at
least an other bad interaction with hald.
BTW what is the logic for mounting partitions from an external drive?

What's at x.x.1.100?
It looks like a dead or a bogus dns server.
With the real one being at x.x.1.1 (Cisco).
You get a 5 seconds timeout on each DNS request.
Double check /etc/resolv.conf? maybe set by dhcp.

It's a smbfs limitation, cifs is the way to go. If mount -t cifs doesn't
work double check you /etc/fstab options and fill a new bug, thanks.
