After my partial upgrate, my pidgin starts and crashes - if i select

in 800X600, without in 1400X1100 max, but I want 1024X800, but it resets on
1280X11xy!! then i try to change on 1024X800, it stay same as before... after

I've got ATI RADEON x700, but my motherboard is ASUS and chipset NVIDIA.
is not the same bug as Bug #144297, but it's on PC and it writes (as I
said)
The greeter application it appears to be crasing. Attempting to use the
different one.

this server start crashing when it loads ubuntu and pass ubuntu splashy.
then it writes:
