I have the exact same problem on my IdeaPad 520s with an Geforce MX 940.
It happens everytime when I have an active Nvidia card (prime-select

The new bug seems to be related to the proprietary nVidia Driver

intel. However, this is not related to this bug.

After the kernel update I was able to shutdown succesfully two times.
Without taking any further chances I'm now stuck at the poweroff again.
I only see the blinking cursor on the top right corner that normally
apears before the splash screen shows up. Seems to be another poweroff
bug.
@Sebastian
So, there has been a new kernel release today. Can we expect an update
for this Ubuntu release or do we have to wait for the next Ubuntu

I'm also affected by this bug.
I'm using an EPSON Stylus Office BX535WD. The printer-driver-escpr
package contains a driver for this printer, but there are very few
settings available.
I used the "epson-inkjet-printer-201106w_1.0.1-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb" in

@Amr: Is your request to install the ubuntu-software package directed to
me? I don't get your point there. Why should I do this, if the gnome-

@Lonnie: Yeah, I did this. This is the output:
OK:1 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial InRelease
OK:2 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-updates InRelease
OK:3 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-backports InRelease
OK:4
I activated the "xenial-proposed" (which is not in the updates tab, but
in the last tab. Don't know the english naming). I've installed the
update via:
$ sudo apt-get install gnome-software/xenial-proposed
After a reboot I was able to install "dropbox_2015.10.28_amd64.deb" and
