Have just installed 8.04 (32bit?) on Core2Duo and have been getting this
error intermittently. Not sure what is causing it. Will try and take
note next time around. Sound still seems fine.

Believe I have the same problem - 12.04 x64.
Sound is pulsing media apps (Have tried VLS/Kaffeine/Rhythmbox).
Has only been happening for the last couple of days - was fine before.
Have tried the fix suggested (Turning off PulseAudio timer scheduling).
REALLY annoying - am going back to Suse until

Have upgraded both to 68.4.2.
Still get the message occasionally if trying to run from existing link. If I
break and remake (ie Pin) link, still get the error??

Just installed UbuntuDDE, and done all updates.
Happens around "various" windows, generally when they are unselected.
Selecting gets rid of the band.
And, yes, seems to be fixed by disabling Window Effects.
Is a PITA
Running standard Dell PC, Intel graphics.

Yes, similar issue.
2x fresh installs of 20.04.1.
Using a Brother MFC-J890DW, and trying to connect USB. Keep getting 'several
printers' automatically created, but generally don't work, and appear not to be
USB.
Scanning is also hit and miss.
