I have a HP Elite 6930p (Intel 4500MHD graphics, Intel Wifi Link
5300AGN). The only way I get it to boot jaunty is by disabling acpi.
I've also added pnpbios=off because the kernel was spewing errors that
it could not handle the bios and that I should update it to the newest
error while saving could not create secure file.
xsane tells me this error when I am scanning a document.
I do not try to name this document with backslashes or other signs, just a name
.
someone tries to close this bug, but it is a new bug. happens only after latest
upgrade.

the upgrade as well. Seems to me this bug can be closed.

I am sorry that I cannot test this anymore, as the computer which had
this problem is replaced by another one. Which even seems to run Hardy
without a problem :)

Willing to test this but I can not find these linux-image-2.6.27-*
packages in synaptic. Running hardy, so I assume I must add a repository
with testing packages, please point me how. The above links do not
provide this info as far as I can see.

suspend problems: alsa crashes, amarok hangs
on this computer,
which goes without a hitch.
(as an aside: it is my only computer (out of three) that runs Hardy
without freezing!!!)
