Same here as mentioned by der_vegi (on 2009-01-05): Using
networkmanager from http://ppa.launchpad.net/network-manager the option
for TLS shows up, but settings are not safed. The connection then fails
and gives out a timeout message (see syslog attached).
As der_vergi, I'm trying to connect to

Can somebody please help with this issue? I'd appreciate it a lot
because the bug is SO annoying. I'm copying and pasting a lot and almost
everytime I do I am confronted with a delay of 3 to 5 seconds. I don't
know what to do, does anybody have more ideas?

Thanks for your comment David, but I already knew that.. Closing Klipper
makes possible to paste, but the long delay (plasma freezes for about 3
to 5 seconds) is still there. That way, also without using Klipper, it
is a really annoying bug.

I can confirm this using Kubuntu 9.10 with KDE 4.3.2 and Openoffice
3.1.1. Also, closing Klipper doesn't solve the problem for me.

To be more precise: Closing Klipper does solve the copypaste problem
but not the plasma freezing issue (just as S. Christian Collins said
before).

I'm setting this back to incomplete since I'm having the same problem:
I'm using Kubuntu 9.04 (KDE 4.2.2) and I have f-spot and The Gimp
installed. When I right-click on an image the Open with option tells
me No applications available.
When I try to install the package gnome as Eira said, I get
Hm, are you sure you're talking about KDE 4, Milan? At least this is
what happened when I followed your steps:
~$ grep gimp /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache
grep: /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache: No such file or directory
~$ sudo update-desktop-database
sudo:
I just installed the package desktop-file-utils and ran sudo update-
desktop-database and now the problem is solved: The applications show up
in the menu and work. So should this be a dependancy?
Thanks a lot!

No applications available for photo editing if Gnome is not installed
For me, running kbuildsycoca4 doesn't change anything in f-spot, i.e. it
doesn't solve the problem. (I removed the package desktop-file-utils and
the file /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache before.)

Still the same problems here:
* Focussed checkboxes and radio buttons don't show correctly
* List selection doesn't show
shepherdguy's workaround (2008-08-08) does work but reduces the visual
experience a lot.
I am using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.0.3)

I can confirm this in Kubuntu 9.04 (KDE 4.2). I installed a different
system language and for that reason my standard was added, too. Since
then the problem appeared. I solved it removing hunspell-de-med.

Same error message (repeats multiple times):

This happens using Kubuntu 9.04 (KDE). In Skype I have no sound and
calls are aborted with an error message. On the same machine, using

Still no solution, I'm kind of desperate.. Can't anybody help with this?
Anymore ideas? It's so annoying. I'm working with text documents and
copypaste almost all day and due to this error everything slows down so
much and I'm really stressed out...
