The problem was with Firefox and Thunderbird themself is in the wrong
language (not content of messages or web pages).
I resolved the problem temporarily in this way. With help of Synaptic
Package Manager a have removed packages

impossible to boot from live usb

Thank you for the fast response.
I tried to boot from ubuntu 10.04 live usb created from ubuntu 10.04.
Result the same (see attached screenshot), so I suspect, the problem comes from
Ubuntu.
The problem began after I divided my HDD to partitions.
