I successfully changed configuration files and Network Manager is
working now. Unfortunately I when I try to configure my dsl connection
it still doesn't work. I have to use ppoeconf to configure it and than
it works...

The same problem. I have Acer as well, model Aspire 3100. I run Karmic
Beta via VirtualBox OSE. Maybe the problem is in virtual machine, I

I' ve just updated my Jaunty to Karmic. I added my icq account to
empathy. In my contact list there are shown almost only icq numbers
instead of names (aliases). Moreover, when I try to get Contact
Information i also see only number, no alias.

nmcli dev wifi list shows:
SSID BSSID MODE FREQ
RATE SIGNAL SECURITY ACTIVE
and iw dev wlan0 scan dump shows nothing
The strange thing is that I see the wireless networks but I can't
connect.

My wi-fi is working again. I found this command at some forum:
sudo apt-get purge bcmwl-kernel-source broadcom-sta-common broadcom-sta-
source
After that I run:
dpkg --configure -a
and afrerwords aptitude and suddenly wi-fi was working. I have no idea
how did I do it but it works...

It seems that in 10.04 everything works fine. Somebody else should try

The problem persists in 10.04 final version. I have Acer 3100, ATI
video. I have noticed, that the cursor works, but it's just invisible.
If you swich the workspace to anothe one, the cursor appears again. I
know, it's wierd but maybe this infornation will help to solve the bug.
