I started oowriter from terminal, but there's no error messages. The
other tabs in format-page menu work but format-page-page causes crash.
How could I trace openoffice or get more information on this problem?

I used edgy live-cd and there were no problems. Very strange. I have
deleted the .openoffice.org2 -directory from home folder but it didn't
help. I wouldn't want to reinstall the whole system but it's the last
trick maybe.

Same problem. I can't print anything. My DCP7010 ppd-file is in
/usr/share/ppd instead of /opt/share/ppd. In Dana_r's error log driver
tries also to find it from /usr/share/cups/model.

It's maybe permission problem in xsane, if you run xsane with sudo all
the setup files are then owned by root. Have you tried to remove .sane
directory from your home directory? It's hidden by default so you have
to select show hidden files

Sorry, it's not the use assistive technologies box. Go to gnome-at-
properties then keyboard settings and then mouse buttons. (or mouse
keys, I don't know if the words are correct in English, my machine is
Finnish:) For me setting mouse keys to off fixed the problem.

Modifying Screen section in xorg.conf worked. But only with livecd. I installed
hardy to hard disk and 800x600 is the best resolution I get. I have done all
tricks I know without success.
Also openchrome or via in xorg.conf didn't help.

I have standard usb mouse, it worked ok just a couple of hours ago in
gutsy. I did a fresh hardy install and right button doesn't work at all
now. Left button works very weird too.

Maybe this is not openchrome but hardware-detection bug? If I select safe
driver from live-cd boot menu, resolution is 800x600, not 1024x768.
Who can fix the problem? Ubuntu Hardy will be useless in many VIA-laptops
before that.

Yes, I know safe mode uses vesa driver. But maybe the cause is same and
the problem is not only in the openchrome driver. Resolution with vesa-
driver was also ok before hardy.
I don't know so much about drivers but which one makes the resolution
decision, driver (openchrome or vesa) kernel, or
I have same problem in normal Hardy install. Firefox icon in top panel
doesn't work. It worked ok before firefox 3 -update.

Same problem, I have Acer Aspire 1362 with Via K8M800, laptop's max resolution
is 1024x768.
Now I have 1600x1200, it's max for the external monitor. But I don't have a
such.
And I can't change resolution in Screen and Graphics Preferences, all menus are

I had to configure X manually in Gutsy (sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-
xorg) but it's not possible in Hardy, I tried today. It didn't ask
anything about screen, only keyboard
I suppose it's not fixed, i did a report to the alsa bug list too, one
year ago and no reply from there. Maybe you can close this bug. I sold
my Maya usb because it didn't work so I can't test it anymore.

I have upgraded from dapper to edgy and now to feisty.
I had many packages installed (and also small hard disk) which are no
longer required, because they have newer versions. Maybe dist-upgrade
should remove these after upgrade:
gnome2-user-guide
grepmap
libavahi-core4

I have a strange problem. Sometimes I can't see any of my fonts listed
if I try to change font. I dont't know why but in the Oowriter's default
font -settings window, I can see two fonts Times and Helvetica. But I
don't have such fonts.

It didn't help. I removed and reistalled the human package and removed
also the .openoffice2.org directory. Or maybe I have to remove all
hidden files?? I hope no..
