[Bug 154371] Re: Shift switcher (Super-Tab) shows wrong behaviour on 'escape'

2008-02-14 Thread positivek
I agree that it is a duplicate iff testing and fixing of bug 154369 absolutely includes testing and fixing of this one. I guess it's a matter of desired/useful bug granularity and knowledge of implementation (which I do not have). Note that from a user's perspective, each of these bugs is a

This bug is still evident in 7.10. I added a comment in bug 154369. I want to mark this bug confirmed? Some of my system info: [fglrx] module loaded - xorg-driver-fglrx 7.1.0-8.37.6+2.6.22.4-14.10 Linux machname 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Fri Feb 1 04:59:50 UTC 2008 i686

[Bug 154369] Re: Application switcher (alt-tab) shows wrong behaviour on 'escape'

2008-02-13 Thread positivek
Please also see my comment (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/154371/comments/3) in bug 154371. I believe these are closely related or both are symptoms of the same underlying issue. -- Application switcher (alt-tab) shows wrong behaviour on 'escape'

Why not change the bug subject since it was mentioned that this does not have to do with Firefox? -- Firefox forgets unmaximised size when closed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120962 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for

[Bug 99847] Re: Drawing error when maximizing a window with Desktop Effects

2008-01-04 Thread positivek
This behavior happens to me as well. Quite annoying, but I do not agree that this is a showstopper. My workaround is to Restore, then Maximize to fix the drawing error. I have to do this for each window that is restored in Maximized state. This bug relates to Gnome's restoration of maximized

Forgot to mention that this occurs particularly when restoring a session of multiple windows using: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071204 Ubuntu/7.10 (gutsy) Firefox/2.0.0.11 -- Drawing error when maximizing a window with Desktop Effects

[Bug 124406] Re: Keyboard keys get stuck and repeat (Feisty, Gutsy)

2007-12-25 Thread positivek
Re my previous comment (positivek wrote on 2007-11-09): I also experience a key repeat problem while using Google's web email (Gmail) within Firefox. Specifically, when using their compose view, it performs an autosave every so often. It seems that if I type during the autosave, the same key

To be sure, this is not only a KDE issue. I am also having this problem on Gnome: No Compiz -- *slow* OpenOffice.org; Compiz -- Fast. Let me know if it's useful to provide any other information... Gnome window manager Running Compiz + restricted ATI drivers, Desktop Effects enabled Ubuntu Gutsy

I wholeheartedly agree with your report, joehill. The Alt+Tab behavior of changing windows within the MRU list of apps/windows should be expected. I experience this bug myself. I agree it makes Shift Switcher effectively unusable. Two comments: 1 - I think sharing an algorithm with the other

[Bug 154371] Re: Shift switcher (Super-Tab) shows wrong behaviour on 'escape'

2007-12-25 Thread positivek
I believe this bug is very much related to or a result of bug 154369. First bug: 1. Start one Terminal (or other window). 2. Maximize it. 3. Start another Terminal (or other window). 4. Make sure the second one is not maximized, but hovers somehow over the first one. 5. Make

[Bug 158877] Re: Compiz application switcher isn't centered

2007-11-16 Thread positivek
I am experiencing the same bug. This makes the Application Switcher plugin very annoying. As with others, the switcher is centered on initial use and after some (unknown, TBD) time, it does a jump when used. When jumpy, it first appears to be centered for a fraction of a second, then moves

This happens for me occasionally as well. I use the web browser a lot (Firefox). While I haven't lost original work due to this bug, I have lost work in web browsing. As mentioned above, I will use Ctrl-w to close a browser tab and many more that I wanted open will close. When using Ctrl-n to
