Yes. eGroupware versions are badly lagging. It took many many months for the 1.2 version to be included in Ubuntu. It is taking too long to add the current stable version (1.4). Most of eGroupware is mostly php so updating it shouldn't be much of a problem. -- Wishlist: New stable egroupware

No I didn't remove of edit anything. When I run an upgrade I get an error that that file is missing. When I do dpkg --configure -a I get the same message. In order to solve a problem with the screen not blanking I removed gdm3 and lightdm then reinstalled gdm3, that's when the error showed

I think I've solved it. I removed gdm3 and lightdm apt purge gdm3 apt purge lightdm then reinstalled gdm3 and ubuntu desktop. apt install gdm3 ubuntu-desktop It now seems to be working as expected. It appears to me screen blanking may not work with lightdm, but I'm not sure perhaps it was
