In Ubuntu 6.10, realtime-lsm has been deprecated in favor to the realcap
module. This was great: no more module recompiling after a kernel
upgrade. jackd was ready to to run in realtime.

Since it's possible to edit /etc/security/limits.conf to get jack
running with realtime privileges, it's not a necessity anymore, this bug
could be closed.
Note: just add these to /etc/security/limits.conf:

I can't reproduce it (fortunately). But here's the steps I did when it happened:
1) Open a new (empty) tab
2) Type the address (it was my router address)
3) Look at Firefox windows vanishing

I think this is a bug (at least in lucid). trackerd is started when the
user login again, but it doesn't appear in Startup Applications, because
/etc/xdg/autostart/trackerd.desktop got NoDisplay=true. A simple fix
would be to set it to false. Any idea why it was was added?

image-2.6.33-020633-generic_2.6.33-020633_i386.deb did make it even
worse, now i even can't connect to the network, i really need to get
this to work because it isn't my laptop (and the owner wants it back in
about a week an he doesn't know anything

isues, found out that ureadahead is slowing down my boot significantly
(about 5 secconds on the chrono)

dependencies of a selected package) packages as being manually
installed also noticed that in 10.10 the list can be removed
