I have Ubuntu 12.04 desktop, and my newly external drive(ext4) connected
to the computer through eSATA interface, is not automatically mounted
when I turn it on. Manual mounting works ok. Would be nice to have it
automatically mounted when turned on! I am planning to install the
latest desktop

my system was caused by /etc/fstab file corrupt, then it won't mount all
file systems, so please have a check on syslog if possible.
