I just discovered that I thunderbird doesn't view the content of most of
my emails in my Inbox anymore. It still shows the title of the emails,
but no content or attachments.

The same happend to me when upgrading my Kubuntu 13.04 to the released
13.10, which is running in a kvm x86_64 virtual machine.
After I entering my password, an empty splash screen remains.
all logs in /var/log/lightdm are empty (exept for the *.old ones) as
well as Xorg.0.log.

Just upgraded to Precise and can confirm that the bug doesn't seem to be fixed.
Recent Documents don't show up in the Gnome Search, neither in LibreOffice.
A fix or a workaround would be great.
