Nicolai_J, I agree with you. But how to revert all settings back?
Removing dsl connection info from /etc/network/interfaces doesn't help!

Binary package hint: update-manager
In update-manager some packages marked as 'new install'. This packages
always depend on currently installed ones. Why wouldn't mark new
packages as auto-installed? This will prevent the accumulation of unused
packages in the system.

User sometimes needs to open some directories as administrator. This can
be achieved very simply with package 'nautilus-gksu'. I suggest to

removing packages marked for automatic installation, that no longer in

Binary package hint: human-theme
I love resolution 1024x768 but in this case icons in the main menu rather large.
The reason this line of human-theme: gtk-icon-sizes = panel-menu = 24,24:
gtk-button = 16,16.
24x24 is too large for resolution 1024x768, must be 16x16.
P.S.

At my resolution 1024x768 icons in the main menu and applications become very
large.
To fix this, I write in '~/.gtkrc-2.0' this lines:
'gtk-icon-sizes = panel-menu = 16,16: panel = 16,16: gtk-menu = 16,16 \
: gtk-large-toolbar = 24,24:
