[Bug 1573181] Re: Samba crashes wit "signal 11" error

2016-05-04 Thread ^_Pepe_^
Hi all.
I don't have ldapsam active.
I've updated today, deleted all in /var/log/samba and after several hours, all
new client logs are zero bytes, which is good for me.

Video streaming is now as fast as usual, and VLC (Win, OSx and Mint) is
not complaining about "bad file descriptor" as was during past three
weeks.

I propose to wait for Jacob Becker's investigations to get further info.

Thanks to all.

[Bug 1573181] [NEW] Samba crashes wit "signal 11" error

2016-04-21 Thread ^_Pepe_^
Public bug reported:

My Samba server (Ubuntu 14.04.4) has suddenly started to refuse Win or
Linux connections with a "signal 11" error.

My server is pretty stable (home server for DLNA, and files) and all
machines have now problems (Ubuntu, Mint, Windows).

I have R/W permissions for all shares and all users, including guests,
and I have change nothing recently except regular updates.

Please let me know if someone needs more information

Best and thanks

Hi,

The warning reported here typically indicates that it took longer for
your system to resume from suspend than expected. I believe there is a 5
sec barrier which your system likely exceeded. Typically you'll see
something similar to PM: resume devices took 9.264 seconds in your
dmesg output when this happens. A patch to prevent this warning has been
applied via bug 464552. As a result I'm marking this as a duplicate to
bug 464552. Please continue to track this issue at that report.

Thanks!

The warning reported here typically indicates that it took longer for your
system to resume from suspend than expected. I believe there is a 5 sec barrier
which your system likely exceeded. Typically you'll see something similar to
PM: resume devices took 8.320 seconds in your dmesg output when this happens.
A patch to prevent this warning has been applied via bug 464552. As a result
I'm marking this as a duplicate to bug 464552. Please continue to track this
issue at that report.

Thanks!

[Bug 252143] Re: cant hibernate to swapfile

2010-06-25 Thread ^_Pepe_^
To all reporters.

This bug report, has been used for slightly different problems for many
users.

I'd suggest:

1. Mark this as Incomplete, to let the orginal reporter (8.04) include any
update.
2. Open new bugs (Lucid/Maverick) for the other cases.

Thanks to all.

[Bug 305126] Re: Resume ignored after auto-hibernate

2010-06-25 Thread ^_Pepe_^
Hi all,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better.

Please, can you tell us whether this is still an issue for you? If not, please,
consider update this bug as 'Fix Released', else, can you please, fill a little
form, with questions contained in this wiki?
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspendHibernateResume

It will definitely help developers to find the fix or help you to detect
that you don't really have real bug. Please, pay special attention to
the Encrypted Home-Swap issue and the flashing caps-lock.

Information below, will also help you
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UnderstandingSuspend

I'd also encourage you to try this tests
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/SuspendResumeTesting to gather more
information to developers.

We also remember you that every bug needs to be tested with latest
stable kernel version before being triaged. So, please, can you include
some test with latest Lucid version?

Please, don't forget to attach your /var/log/pm-suspend.log

Thank you in advance.

[Bug 580323] Re: WARNING: at /build/buildd/linux-2.6.31/kernel/power/suspend_test.c:52 suspend_test_finish 0x80/0x90()

Hi,

The warning reported here typically indicates that it took longer for
your system to resume from suspend than expected. I believe there is a 5
sec barrier which your system likely exceeded. Typically you'll see
something similar to PM: resume devices took 7.140 seconds in your
dmesg output when this happens. A patch to prevent this warning has been
applied via bug 464552. As a result I'm marking this as a duplicate to
bug 464552. Please continue to track this issue at that report. Thanks!

which is the same as this bug# 133146.

Please, update your BIOS or simply ignore this warning.

Hi,

Looking at your Dmesg log, we can find several errors like this:

...
[6.551462] end_request: I/O error, dev sr0, sector 0
[6.551502] Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block 0
...

Some reporters say that this could be due to two IDE devices (HDD and
CD-ROM, for example) IDE based, conected with same IDE cable, and both
with cable selection switch.

Please, can you check this? If, so, please put one as master and other
as slave, and report back again.
