[Bug 768791] Re: isoinfo: Unable to find Joliet SVD (USB creator won't select ISO for creating boot USB)

2021-09-15 Thread Bo-Ru Ju
It's so odd that after all these years, this bug still exists. I wanted
to create a Debian Live CD USB today, and got the same output on the
terminal.

[Bug 921973] Re: claws-mail creates window witch cannot be focused and filled in.

2014-01-07 Thread Ru Gardner
I have just started using Claws and I am also finding this window focus bug in
multiple situations as follows:
Menu Item- Configuration-Actions-Edit Filter Action == The Edit Filter
Actions window does not get focus. So you can't create a filter action.
Menu Item- Configuration-Filtering-Define Actions == The Define Actions
window does not get focus. So you can't create an action.
The above is the same for all three processing configuration options. This
includes if they are opened from a folder right click or the main menu.

Effectively I am unable to create any Filter / Actions / Processing
Rules.

I was originally on 3.8.1, I have just upgraded to 3.9.3 but the issue
still exists.

I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 with lightdm and the XFCE window manager.

[Blueprint ldap-defaultdit-usergrp-mgmt] Default LDAP DIT for user and group managment

2009-02-20 Thread .Ru
Blueprint changed by .Ru:

Whiteboard changed to:

dendrobates: This is a good idea, but I would like to see a community
discussion about DIT layout. i.e. the use of dc=example,dc=com, over
o=example.com. I have almost always used dc, but not for any good
reason.

ru: having DIT in any form is very important for corporations. this
feature can (in future) replace MS AD ecosystem.

koptein: DIT and ldap means not (mail-, directory, or other) domains.
dc=example,dc=com is for a domain, also o=example.com is a domain and
both aren't very good for a bigger company structure. One example - for
better clarification - i use .uk (or .de, nl, ...).

If you start with dc=example,dc=uk and your company grow up with another
location, say example.br, how can s/o layout this new structure. Same for
o=example.uk and o= or ou= or c= ...  example.br? Always a new DIT for a new
location? The important thing is not the domain (whatever domain), is is the
name of the structure, the comany. So for one of the best (L)DAP implementation
(NDS or eDirectory) nearly everyone recomends an o=example -- without any com,
org, net, uk, br, ... and other locations (or parts of an comypnay like sales,
hr, stock, ...) are in the second level in the DIT, like ou=br.
LDAP is not only for users and groups, what about computers, DNS, DHCP,
Harddisk, Pools, Volumes (LVM), SoftwareRAID-Level, Rights,
Clusterconfiguration, Loadbalancing, Routing, RIP, BGP, Applications and many
more? Think bigger but start small.

ru: 2 koptein - And what to do if we have many companies at one
server(s)? just create o=MyCompany and o=AsteriskCompany and
o=AnotherOneCompany? What is the difference with dc=MyCompany,dc=com
and dc=AsteriskCompany,dc=com and dc=AnotherCompany,dc=com ? We need
some strategy for DIT with many locations / contries / companies.

2 all - From Ubuntu survey - it seems that Ubuntu server are usually
used by SOHO, and they do not use Ubuntu as directory server because of
lack DIT feature. For me it means that better to have DIT good for SOHO
and suitable for big companies. From my point DIT in Ubuntu is most
important feature in 9.04 release.

ru: is there any work with this blueprint? if not - may be use eBox as official
DIT for Ubuntu?
or may be Canonical do not want to create any competitor to their proprietary
Landscape. Is any ideas?

Did not help, also create configuration without anything - Xorg can not work

It seems that OpenJDK is depends on tzdata-java, and tzdata-java have broken
dependency. So OpenJDK can not be installed too,

1) lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu 8.04.1
Release:8.04
2) apt-cache policy openjdk-6-jdk
openjdk-6-jdk:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 6b09-0ubuntu2
  Version table:
 6b09-0ubuntu2 0
500 http://ru.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/universe Packages

3) OpenJDK must be installed.
4) openJDK is not installed because of broken dependency.

if OpenJDK is installed next usage of 'apt-get upgrade' will destroy
OpenJDK, so java become unavailable on my computer.

Openjdk is at 6b11 in hardy -updates.
You don't have hardy-updates line for universe and multiverse. Please add
those lines and then report back.

I have default sources.list file. Is it necessary to change that file to
make something work?

I thought that hardy repository must be stable. Is not it?

tzdata-java is in universe repo like openjdk and netbeans. So I do not
see any problem with it. universe is enabled by default. What is version
of tzdata you have? Do you have any frozen package set? (ie. is
installed and latest version the same?) 2008d is latest version in hardy
(both tzadata and tzdata-java). I will check hardy 64bit version.

What happens if you install libnb-apisupport1-java, libnb-ide8-java,

status and then asks if you want to install. So you can skip
installation and attach here what it suggests to install.
