This might sound bizarre for some people, but I use a Microsoft
Bluetooth Wireless Intellimouse Explorer mouse. Good to know: this piece
of hardware is the only Microsoft product on my computer. Long live
Linux!
Anyway, I do have a problem; The scroll wheel doesn't function
I've added information on the backup procedure. Could someone confirm
there is a problem? How to successfully restore Evolution ff there is no
problem?

I'll try the graphical import function and report back.
Anyway, I've followed these steps to backup Evolution as usual:
Step 1:
Shutdown evolution and gconftool-2:
$ gconftool-2 --shutdown
$ evolution –force-shutdown

I've followed an article posted in the Ubuntu Wiki to backup Evolution
data, using the backup afterwards to restore Evolution. This worked fine
for previous Evolution versions, but restoring data from an older
Evolution version to Evolution
