[Bug 376677] Re: using 'N' to jump to new message doesn't load the message pane
Strange to be notified for a bug I raised 9 years ago. I don't run ubuntu anymore, just vanilla Debian. I am still using Thunderbird and the issue raised here is no longer present. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/376677 Title: using 'N' to jump to new message doesn't load the message pane To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/376677/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1021044] [NEW] sqlite 3.7.9 is old and has bug which means it incorrectly processes sql
Public bug reported: I have just installed ubuntu-server 12.04 after a hardware crash replacing a Debian squeeze server. One of my applications uses fairly complex SQL with sqlite3. Back in March this year, I was finding a discontinuity between the results of my application running on the Debian server using sqlite 3.7.3 and by Debian Unstable Desktop, which at that time was running sqlite 3.7.10. This is reported at http://www.sqlite.org/src/info/b7c8682cc1 I have just discovered that this bug (the ticket reported above gives a test case) does in fact manifest itself in sqlite 3.7.9 This is now causing me the same problems (ie the application silently gives the wrong results) as it did before. Given that I suspect this issue could silently cause other people problems, I believe the version in use in 12.04 needs to be updated to a later release (at least 3.7.11 where the issue is fixed). Obviously this doesn't just affect the sqlite3 package itself, but all the other related packages (in my case php5-sqlite). ** Affects: sqlite3 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1021044 Title: sqlite 3.7.9 is old and has bug which means it incorrectly processes sql To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sqlite3/+bug/1021044/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 376677] [NEW] using 'N' to jump to new message doesn't load the message pane
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: thunderbird I have a range of folders, both IMAP and local with messages in which will be unread after they have been filtered from my inbox. [Bug 179574] Re: No display (blank screen) on log out
I have this problem with Jaunty. I have kde4 session, and I have a freshly installed kdm. I get the blank screen when I logout - the only way to recover this is with ssh from another machine and then restarting kdm. If I uninstall kdm and install gdm it works fine I had been running a bug fix of the xorg intel driver and and in case it was that I downgraded to the standard one, but that didn't change anything. [Bug 186354] Re: X server memory leaks related to dbus
I am running the patched version of the intel driver 2:2.7.0-1ubuntu2~xup~1 to help with the freeze, and I also have a severe memory leak. [Bug 363818] [NEW] Jaunty rc of mythubuntu exits to busybox when trying to install via usb pendrive
Public bug reported: I have made a usb drive of mythbuntu-9.04-rc-desktop-amd64.iso (on a 2GB drive) since I want to install this on a AMD 3200+ machine with no CD. I choose language and select the Install Mythubuntu. During the process of getting the installer ready, I am thrown into BusyBox with the initramfs prompt. There is no indication why I have double checked the md5sum on the .iso image I downloaded, and made the USB stick twice, but no change in symptoms I have previously got a long way in installing standard ubuntu (32 bit version from the alternate cd beta release), so that works Hardware installed in addition to the processor, is 1GB memory, a Gigabyte motherboard with built in GeForce graphics chip, onboard LAN, Audio,USB etc. Two 160GB Sata drives and a Haupage NOVA-T twin tuner. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Jaunty rc of mythubuntu exits to busybox when trying to install via usb pendrive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/363818 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 362938] [NEW] Raid 1 configuration failed to start on boot
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mdadm This seems to be simular to bug 188392, but with some different symptoms, so I am not sure its appropriate to add it there. Apologies if it turns out that this should have been reported there. I am running Jaunty beta - installed recently from the Alternate CD, because I had an already established raid1 with some lvm on top of part of it set up when I was running debian unstable. I have two sata disks, each partitioned into 4 partitions of which one is swap and the other 3 are raid for /boot, root and an lvm pv. For some historic reason I don't remember the lvm md device is specified differently - but my mdadm.conf looks like this code # mdadm.conf # # Please refer to mdadm.conf(5) for information about this file. # # by default, scan all partitions (/proc/partitions) for MD superblocks. # alternatively, specify devices to scan, using wildcards if desired. DEVICE partitions # auto-create devices with Debian standard permissions CREATE owner=root group=disk mode=0660 auto=yes # automatically tag new arrays as belonging to the local system HOMEHOST system # instruct the monitoring daemon where to send mail alerts MAILADDR root # definitions of existing MD arrays ARRAY /dev/md3 level=raid1 num-devices=2 UUID=5a1acf92:0fe3ad1d:0fab2104:a29fa92f ARRAY /dev/md1 level=raid1 num-devices=2 UUID=29d24a32:1d762ed3:0fab2104:a29fa92f ARRAY /dev/md/2 level=raid1 metadata=1.0 num-devices=2 UUID=a7a0d77a:7b42f79b:a31e60ac:aaa86c0c name=kanger:2 /code I am about to update my hardware to replace the sata disks with bigger ones, but prior to doing this I needed to find out physically which device was /dev/sda and which was /dev/sdb, so decided to try to fail one device (by pulling the cables out - with the power off) and once I had booted up, shut down again and add the disk back and reboot. The first few steps worked fine - I removed the drive, powered up again and was confronted with initramfs asking me if it was OK to continue. As I was working on something else it timed out and dropped me into busybox, but I rebooted and confirmed that it was. My system came up with one disk failed, and worked perfectly. I shutdown again. When I replaced the drive and started up again, it started getting weird errors related to parts of the system not working. A quick examination soon is clear what happened /dev/md1 and /dev/md3 reformed perfectly. /dev/md/2 did NOT form during boot and since it held the lvm and parts of the filesystem, nothing else would run (in particular gdm - so I was thrown into console mode). The only thing different about /dev/md/2 is the metadata=1.0 line - so it looks as though this newer format is not recovering in the same way as the default older format. This is (I think) a bug I managed to recover this device manually by mdadm --assemble -force /dev/md/2 /dev/sd[ab]4 awaiting until /dev/sdb4 had fully synced again (for 143GB it took about 2 hours) and then rebooting. It didn't shutdown properly, but after a poweroff and full reboot, it came up properly again. ** Affects: mdadm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Raid 1 configuration failed to start on boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362938 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
