I have almost the exact same problem. The same memory error messages. Using LVM + RAID with thin-pools and my root partition is on a thin volume. There are serious problems here with grub bugs I think seeing from similar posts on google. Here's some of the same output you got previously: Internal error: Unreleased memory pool(s) found. I was having the same issue and after adding Taco's sync line in the dapper.py file everything worked smoothy.
