Same here except my GUI never loads. So basically this error has bricked
my Ubuntu installation. I have gone into recovery mode and tried all of
the options:
dpkg - fix broken packages
netroot - terminal with networking
grub - update grub
failsafeX - supposed to boot into a failsafe version of X
This bug also manifests itself on a fresh install from the official
10.04 i386 Desktop Edition CD. My theory is that if you don't activate
the STA driver on the Live CD BEFORE you install Ubuntu to your hard
drive, the STA driver doesn't get installed. Attempting to install it

I am still having this problem. When recording video in 1600x1200
resolution, it is incredibly clear but is a little choppy in the
preview. When I start recording it comes to a crawl and the audio is
way out of sync with the video.

got too many errors and gave up.

something about sending broadcast deauth to [SOME MAC ADDRESS] and it
just hangs there. When I try to ctrl+c it doesn't do anything.

I have this problem and would like to know where the preference setting
