[Bug 1672716] Re: Inverted colors on screenshots

2017-05-01 Thread Alexander Chemeris
Also an issue for me. Ubuntu Gnome 17.04, "Haswell-ULT Integrated
Graphics Controller" (Lenovo X1 Carbon 2nd / 20A7004CRT). Hope it'll be
resolved soon - it's a really essential functionality for me.

[Bug 927782] Re: include the Atheros AR8131/AR8151/AR8152/AR8161 Ethernet driver

2012-05-13 Thread Alexander Chemeris
Yes, it worked for me as well. I followed this instruction:
http://www.jfdesignnet.com/?p=2133

But It seems it works only in 100Mbit mode for me, no 1GbE. Not sure
whether it's a driver issue or bad cabling.

Also connection detection is incredibly slow - about 20sec after cable
insertion before connection is recognized.

[Bug 292064] [NEW] frysk needs packaging

2008-11-01 Thread Alexander Chemeris
Public bug reported:

Frysk is a programmable system monitoring and debugging tool. It allows
developers and system administrators to monitor running processes and
threads (including creation and destruction events), monitor the use of
locking primitives, expose deadlocks, gather data and react to events.
For instance, one may choose a process to monitor directly from a GUI
list; or, frysk may notice a process crashing or otherwise misbehaving
in some user-definable way, and offer to open a source code window on
the process.

There is an package fro frysk in Debian experimental:
http://packages.debian.org/experimental/frysk so I guess it won't be
hard to get it to Ubuntu.

[Bug 248917] [NEW] Colordiff misses one line of output or eats enf-of-line

2008-07-16 Thread Alexander Chemeris
Public bug reported:

Try running `colordiff -u pulseaudio_output pulseaudio_output2`several
times and look at the end of output. You might see following:

code
...
-userdata=0x6338a0) at pulsecore/pdispatch.c:241
-#6 0x7f84fe613163 in pstream_packet_callback (p=0x63c460,

+#6 0x7ff134f6f163 in pstream_packet_callback (p=0x64a720,
 at pulsecore/protocol-native.c:3105
...
/code
or following:
code
-userdata=0x6338a0) at pulsecore/pdispatch.c:241
-#6 0x7f84fe613163 in pstream_packet_callback (p=0x63c460,
-packet=0x6b8410, creds=0x63c5b0, userdata=value optimized out)

pstream_packet_callback (p=0x64a720,
+packet=0x639a60, creds=0x64a870, userdata=value optimized out)
 at pulsecore/protocol-native.c:3105
/code
and eventually you might see correct result:
code
-userdata=0x6338a0) at pulsecore/pdispatch.c:241
-#6 0x7f84fe613163 in pstream_packet_callback (p=0x63c460,
-packet=0x6b8410, creds=0x63c5b0, userdata=value optimized out)
+userdata=0x634b40) at pulsecore/pdispatch.c:241
+#6 0x7ff134f6f163 in pstream_packet_callback (p=0x64a720,
+packet=0x639a60, creds=0x64a870, userdata=value optimized out)
 at pulsecore/protocol-native.c:3105
/code

With plain `diff -u pulseaudio_output pulseaudio_output2` I never
experience such problems. Looks very much like there is some race
condition or memory corruption somewhere in colordiff script or perl
itself.

I use Ubuntu 8.04 x86_64.

 Stop using xgl.

Not sure I understand you - where did you find xgl here?

[Bug 242790] [NEW] Compiz crashes after last update with fglrx driver

2008-06-24 Thread Alexander Chemeris
Public bug reported:

After update tonight I'm was getting white screen after login. I then
tried to solve this by disabling fglrx driver and glx module in
xorg.conf, and it helped. But when I tried to enable fglrx driver
without glx, I've got crappy blinking screen with some noise on it
instead of gdm greeting. Again, turning off fglrx solves this problem,
but with it desktop effects does not work.

Here is all relevant dmesg output for all tries:
