I'm running Intrepid Ibex with all updates.
It is reproducible, it happens every time I go to
System/Administration/GDM and chose the second tab (local) and click the
button add to install a new GDM theme. There the problem occurs right
away once I click Skrivbord (Desktop)...

is the only way out of it.
