The message has only one part with content type text/html (see result of
FETCH command). Gnubiff currently only supports content type text/plain
for previewing message content, so the error message is correct.

2008-04-20 Thread André Klitzing
Comment from author on sf.net:

Date: 2008-04-19 16:21
Sender: sowadart

Obviously this is not a bug in gnubiff but a bug in the application that
creates the message in a wrong character set.
BTW: In the development CVS version 2.3.0 there is an option
popup_convert_strip_non_ascii (by default switched on) that provides a
fallback when the conversion fails (stripping all non ascii characters and
displaying the resulting text which should work pretty well for texts in
languages that us mostly the characters a to z).

[Bug 161831] Re: Can't convert us-ascii to UTF8

2008-03-23 Thread André Klitzing
Do you have a mail for this?

I looked into it with a mail that have this problem. The problem is that this
mail has no content type: ... charset: -header.
And if you see in source mailbox.cc:726 you will see that mails like this will
be us-ascii by default (RFC 2045) but this mail isn't us-ascii (it has German
Umlauts)!
In file decoding.cc:695 the glib-function g_convert will fail with Invalid
byte sequence in conversion input because it tries to convert a wrong from
charset.

gnubiff needs to detect mail-charsets if there is no content-type (or it
is wrong and will fail). Or just try UTF-8 as a work-around. ;-)

[Bug 204645] [NEW] Feature request: Delete some mails with gnubiff

2008-03-21 Thread André Klitzing
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnubiff

Sometimes I want to delete some mails immediately after I see them in
gnubiff (spam or stupid mails) and don't want to start my mail-client

So I request a little delete this mail button in the preview-box.

Maybe a little red cross on the right side of the overview or on the top
in the message-preview (hold the mouse key pressed... slide over that
delete-symbol and release the mousebutton).

[Bug 65670] Re: Gajim don't redraw chat window

2008-03-02 Thread André Klitzing
Reopened... I have that problem with same steps, too.
I know it at least from feisty and gutsy and used feisty as i386 and gutsy as
amd64.
I did a clean install of feisty and gutsy.

I don't know how to reproduce it at the moment. It seems to be random.

[Bug 159874] Re: autocompletion: `grep: Trailing backslash` in `sudo mount`

2007-12-14 Thread André Klitzing
It only happens if you use sudo mount If you use mount ...
without sudo it will work properly.

I found a nice comment in /etc/bash_completion for that meta-commands like sudo
(function _command).
-
... currently not quite foolproof (e.g. mount and umount don't work properly),
but still quite useful.
-
I love those comments. ;-)

[Bug 172244] Re: New upstream version (0.03)

2007-12-04 Thread André Klitzing
libmodule-build-perl needs to be = 0.28 or the build will fail.
It should be in debian/control...

Tested with 0.26:

/usr/bin/make -C . OPTIMIZE=-g -Wall -O2 install

make[1]: Entering directory `/build/buildd/libfile-basedir-perl-0.03'

[Bug 172374] Re: oocalc crashs while handling a xls file

2007-11-28 Thread André Klitzing
I use amd64 with default theme.
Package: 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu5.3 and 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu5.2

 Fatal exception: Signal 6
I can't see any crash here when I only copy the content to a new spreadsheet.

first: i play around with the diagram (double-click + resize it)
I can confirm this.
My OOo crashes immediately after resize it of the bottom right corner.

second: save the new file (just press Ctrl + s , choose a filename and
 hit return)
Confirmed.

[Bug 133110] Re: Merge with Debian

2007-10-31 Thread André Klitzing
** Description changed:

with every version of ndiswrapper since feisty. But this version (1.47) fixed
my problems and I can connect to my APs again.
+ I like to request the merge of ndiswrapper from Debian. I had problems with
every version of ndiswrapper since feisty. But this version (1.47 or higher)
fixed my problems and I can connect to my APs again.
So please merge the new version to Ubuntu Gutsy in this package and
kernel-module.
+
+ 1.49
+ * If a driver returns invalid MAC address (00:00:00:00:00) when queried
with OID_802_3_CURRENT_ADDRESS (probably because NdisReadNetworkAddress returns
NDIS_STATUS_FAILURE?), use OID_802_3_PERMANENT_ADDRESS to get the correct
address. This is required for some atheros devices (e.g., AR5007EG)
+ * Fixed a kernel crash with non-preempt kernels (observed with acx111
driver)
+ * Preemption, as required by Windows, has been reimplemented. With this,
ndiswrapper works with RT-preempt and non-preempt kernels
+ * Dropped support for 2.4 kernels (and very old 2.6 kernels)

  1.48
  * Support for 2.6.23 kernel
  * Disassocation with wpa_supplicant is fixed (earlier, after
disassociation, the driver and ndiswrapper would be configured differently,
requiring unloading and reloading of ndiswrapper module)
  * (Re)Association / (Re)Authentication issues with wpa_supplicant with
2.6.23 kernels fixed
  * Fixed an issue with 64-bit Broadcom drivers that cause ntos_wq worker
thread to take up all the CPU in some cases

  1.47
  * Fixed random (occassional) crash issues with 64-bit drivers (observed
with Broadcom driver)
  * Fixed compilation issues with version 1.46

  1.46
   * Fixed crash with large transfers (bug in version 1.45)

  1.45
  * Fixes 'NOHZ: local_softirq_pending: 08' warnings from tickless kernels
  * Fixed issues with RT-preempt enabled kernels
  * Fixed ndiswrapper script to handle installation of Intel 4965AGN driver
(which apparently works with ndiswrapper)
  * Fixed a warning when SLUB allocator is used
  * Fixed kernel crash with PsCreateSystemThread that manifested with
sis163u when preempt is enabled
  * Changing MAC address with 'ifconfig hw ether' should work with all
drivers now. If MAC address should be changed everytime ndiswrapper is loaded,
change 'NetworkAddress' setting, as explained in wiki entry 'Tips' (earlier
'mac_address' setting was used, but that no longer applies)
  * Fixed an issue with some drivers (e.g., sis163u) that would stall after
working for a while
  * Fixed crashes when removing module with usb devices

  1.44
  * Fixed issues with Ubuntu kernels (where PREEMPT is not enabled)
  * Issues with combination of DEBUG_PREEMPT and RT-preempt fixed
  * Fixed issues with newer 64-bit Broadcom driver when more than 1GB RAM
is present
  * Added support for upcoming 2.6.22 kernels

[Bug 156325] Re: New fglrx 8.42.3 to Gutsy

2007-10-23 Thread André Klitzing
Thanks for report! But no more me too and please do it posts,
please. Everyone knows the huge interest in ati's AIGLX support. It
would only make this bug-report unreadable. :-)

By the way... there is a bug for amd64 in the new version.
Info: http://phoronix.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5947

*snipp*
Michael:
For those with Ubuntu 64-bit problems, below is a link to the updated Ubuntu
packaging scripts done by Aric Cyr, which will be found in fglrx 8.43 (along
with other updates I imagine). It fixes the 64-bit problem.

http://www.michaellarabel.com/downloads/fglrx-8.42-ubuntu+debian-2.tar.bz2

Extract it to /etc/ati/custom-package and then with the 8.42 package run
--buildpkg custom-package/7.10 (or 7.04 for Feisty)

---

aoanla:
I've posted about this on the Ubuntu forums.
Basically, though, you can unpack the installer into another directory by doing:
./ati-driver-installer-8.42.3-x86.x86_64.run --extract name-of-directory
then extract the other archive that Michael linked to into the same directory
(choosing to replace files)
then, Cd into that directory and type

sudo ./ati-installer.sh 8.42.3 --install
(or ./ati-installer.sh 8.42.3 --buildpkg Ubuntu/gusty
if you're following the Ubuntu wiki HOWTO)

[Bug 147021] Re: UVF: sync with debian to 0.1.4

2007-10-10 Thread André Klitzing
Thanks but I can't see it in gutsy-repository?! Is it normal that it
takes more than 5 days to sync with Debian?

[Bug 133110] Re: Merge with Debian

2007-10-05 Thread André Klitzing
Well... I know the duplicate bug is older than this one. :-)

New ndiswrapper-version!
1.48
* Support for 2.6.23 kernel
* Disassocation with wpa_supplicant is fixed (earlier, after
disassociation, the driver and ndiswrapper would be configured differently,
requiring unloading and reloading of ndiswrapper module)
* (Re)Association / (Re)Authentication issues with wpa_supplicant with
2.6.23 kernels fixed
* Fixed an issue with 64-bit Broadcom drivers that cause ntos_wq worker
thread to take up all the CPU in some cases

I used 1.48 and 1.49rc2 at my notebook without problems (bcm4312).

** Also affects: linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22 (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
   Status: New

** Description changed:

I like to request the merge of ndiswrapper 1.47 from Debian. I had problems
with every version of ndiswrapper since feisty. But this version (1.47) fixed
my problems and I can connect to my APs again.
So please merge the new version to Ubuntu Gutsy in this package and
kernel-module.

[Bug 145765] Re: UVF: gajim v0.11.2

2007-10-01 Thread André Klitzing
I used the vanilla sources for diffstat and pbuilder. Most (all?)
backported patches from ubuntu-version are applied upstream in v0.11.2,
I think.

[Bug 147021] UVF: sync with debian to 0.1.4

2007-09-29 Thread André Klitzing
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hgsvn

Last time I used hgsvn I had an unicode-error with 0.1.3 and in 0.1.4
the bug is fixed. So I request a sync with debian to v0.1.4 of this
package.

ChangeLog:
   * New upstream release
 + Improvements:
   - Be able to pull dead (removed) SVN branches by introducing a -p
(--svn-peg) option to specify the SVN peg revision. The option
must be used with both hgimportsvn and hgpullsvn. Patch by
 Cameron Hutchison.
 + Bug fixes:
   - Allow copying directories with non-ASCII names (reported by
 André Klitzing).
   - Make rmtree reliable under Windows. Thanks to Mark (mwatts42)
for finding both the bug and the solution.
   - Fix a problem where there is a symbolic link in the SVN
repository that points to a directory. Patch by Cameron
 Hutchison.
   - svn log can output invalid XML when a commit message contains
control characters. Reported by Tim Wegener.
 + Other:
   - License upgraded to GNU GPL v3 (or later).
