Performing the following steps has worked for a 8.10 Intrepid” (kernel 2.6.27-9) on a Toshiba M10. - logout and get into console (CTRL+ALT+F1) then # rmmod snd-hda-intel # modprobe snd-hda-intel model=toshiba - And add the following line snd-hda-intel model=toshiba to the ”/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base” (if you omit this modprobe settings won't be persistent). is very easy to play. Just open brasero full screen and do research with double-click on folders. the problem that is created is a shift vericale windows. each double-click to enter a folder produces a displacement of up and down without allowing to enter the folder. I have ubuntu intredip on Lenovo Thinkpad T60 with this hardware: (T5500 (1.66GHz), 1GB RAM, 80GB 5400rpm HD, 14.1in 1024x768 LCD, Intel 950, CDRW / DVDRW, Intel 802.11abg wireless, Bluetooth / Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader, 6c Li-Ion bat). It might be compiz? I do not know.
