[Bug 194496] Re: [users-admin] Unlock -> "Could not authenticate. An unexpected error has occurred."
I have the same problem. After upgrading from Dapper to Hardy, I can't use any admin tools even after checking /etc/hosts and adding my username to the "admin" and "polkituser" groups in /etc/group and /etc/gshadow. I always get "Could not authenticate. An unexpected error has occurred." when using the graphical tools, and the following appears on the console: ** (users-admin:9736): CRITICAL **: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. -- [users-admin] Unlock -> "Could not authenticate.
