Now, the BUG:
When I attempted to open an .doc file from a flash usb drive, the system
stopped
attached all logs around the halt time (21:12; next entries are around
21:16-after restart)

While ogg format import [FFmpeg version F(52.31.0), C(52.20.0),U(49.15.0)]
the progress bar is blinking and the etsimated time of import grows very fast,
as the script cannot see any progress [for 2:00 h ogg file the est. time goes
up to 45 h]
but the import reaches the end

...same problem occurs in 9.04; GNOME: 2.26.1
[OK in preview and black background when activated]
but, interestingly, everything is alright when the screen saver is
activated via lock screen applet added to gnome-panel

gnome-screensaver hacks requiring white background are using black
I was wrong:
I have written about correct activation through lock screen...but it's not a
rule...It works is some cases [I still don't catch the rule]...
another funny behaviour:
when You activate fullscreen preview of substrate screen saver and leave the
preview [which is correct] till

When copying files to usb flashdisk (variety of models tested) via
right-click-send to...in file manager I get a file manager hang...
The file operations windows does not appear, the send button remains pushed
down, but the copying process goes in the background...
