[Bug 1617632] Re: System entirely freezes--keyboard, mouse no use
Hi Eric, |As it happens, I just re-started testing new kernels yesterday and so far 4.8.0.32 seems to work, no hangs yet. (Reminder: this used to happen mostly before login but also sometimes after hours of working). I will keep on testing and you guys updated. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1617632 Title: System entirely freezes--keyboard, mouse no use To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-lts-xenial/+bug/1617632/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1617632] Re: System entirely freezes--keyboard, mouse no use
Even further tested and it is between kernels 4.4 and 4.8. [Bug 1617632] Re: System entirely freezes--keyboard, mouse no use
I further tested startup options and found this does not happen until trying to use kernel 4.8.0-27. 4.8.0-26 seems to work fine so far.

This same thing happens to me after upgrading to kernel 4.8.
