I'm having the same issue still using a new Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with all of
the latest package/kernel updates.  This is also causing VERY large
syslog files (5-10G each).  The errors I'm receiving are related to
tweener.js so I'm updating this bug report instead of opening a new one:

I can confirm that the method described in comment #1 by 'wsz' works
like a charm for my Trusty installation and is much appreciated as I can
now install the latest Liquorix kernel.  Woohoo!
