[Bug 1396654] Re: C++ demangling support missing from perf
Hmm, apparently /usr/bin/perf is only a wrapper script that runs the "right" version of the perf executable for the current kernel. But the perf executable (typically inside /usr/lib/linux-tools-VERSION) is part of the "linux-tools-VERSION" package. So if I do: $ sudo apt install linux-tools-4.15.0-47/bionic-proposed and then run /usr/lib/linux-tools-4.15.0-47/perf directly, instead of the wrapper script which will still run the perf version for the LTS kernel, things finally work here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1396654 Title: C++ demangling support missing from perf To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1396654/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1660051] [NEW] refresh problems with multi-process
Public bug reported: With Ubuntu's build of Firefox 51, enabling multi-process produces refresh problems when switching tabs. In detail, here is what I did: 1) create a new profile 2) start firefox with that new profile (so no add-ons) 3) display "about:support" and check that multi-process is on 4) open a few other tabs on various web pages 5) switch between tabs: most of the time, the display is not refreshed, the old tab's contents is still there Then I tried Mozilla's officiel build of Firefox 51 for Linux (specifically the French x86-64 version), and I had no problems: display is refreshed when I switch tabs. There must be something different in the Ubuntu build. Note I have a NVidia card and use the proprietary driver (I'm assuming detailed info is uploaded as part of the bug report process?). Additional information: I have Ubuntu's AppArmor profile for Firefox enabled. I'm entirely sure about the diagnosis, since it seems the configuration is conditioned on APMD_DRIVES (does it get a default value when the script is being run?). [Bug 1502307] [NEW] improper APM settings chosen when power status cannot be determined
Public bug reported: On my *desktop* machine, on_ac_power returns 255 as a status code, which according to the man page means "Power status could not be determined". This is reasonable, but unfortunately /etc/apm/event.d/20hdparm takes it (*) as meaning "use the conservative setting" which sets the hard drive to spin down after 90 seconds of inactivity. This is entirely inappropriate for a desktop machine, as now I have to wait several seconds each time I access my non-system hard drive. /etc/apm/event.d/20hdparm should really take 255 to mean "this is unlikely to be a battery-powered machine at all, don't mess with the power management settings". [Bug 1442289] [NEW] Selenium version incompatible with Firefox
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 14.10 bundles python-selenium 2.25.0, but that is too old for the packaged Firefox version (currently 37, but even Firefox 36 doesn't work). Public bug reported: Following the latest Xubuntu 14.04 updates, the network icon disapperead from the xfce panel.
