I've this version of the driver (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/wily/amd64/bcmwl-kernel-source/6.30.223.248+bdcom-0ubuntu7) installed on dell inspiron 5520 which has same BCM43142 WIFI adapter. I'm having the same problem with the latest version of the package installed on ubuntun 15.10. Followed recommendations to fix wifi adapter to a fixed Access Point but still it is roaming and gets disconnected after an interval of time. I used the diskpart utility, assigned the EFI partition with a drive letter. Then I opened the same in the file explorer and deleted the empty Ubuntu folder under boot.. Then tried installing the OS.. Success.. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: udev Just yesterday i switched from ubuntu 9.04 to 10.4 and was unable to connect to the internet using the network manager. The device use for net connection is Huawei EC325 CDMA 1x usb modem.The network manager detected my device when i inserted it but i cannot connect. There is no problem with the configuration settings as i was able to connect in 9.04. In 10.04 also i can connect with wvdial but not with network managar. [Bug 502523] [NEW] firefox error after ubuntu 9.10 64 bit installation
