This can probably be closed. At least, I'm not seeing this any more in the final Karmic (for the record: it went away somewhere around the final or penultimate karmic alpha). -- BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 61s! https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/397058 You received this bug notification

This also seems to affect a /home on a regular old LVM volume (no encryption, nothing special). During the boot sequence, udev, complains about some bits of its files which it doesn't understand. %k warnings and SYMLINK errors. I'll see if I can get a photo of the boot screen if that'll help.

Yup, I can pretty much just echo what the others are saying. This seems to happen ONLY with Xinerama enabled -- when I don't enable Xinerama it doesn't occur. First I thought this had something to do with mouse grabbing since it only happened (for me) in VirtualBox and KVM, but now it seems that

Oh, I forgot: I've never had this problem up until the current (or maybe the previous?) X.org version -- all the ones before that have worked flawlessly. -- No more mouse events after using rdesktop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/55739 You received this bug notification because you are a member
