 Title:
   YouTube videos play red

Status in flashplugin-nonfree package in Ubuntu:
   New

 Bug description:
   Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree

After the recent updates, most (but not all) YouTube videos play with
a red colour. It seems as though the cyan filter is double size, and
the green filter is absent. The videos are not watchable.

Many people are getting this problem. It occurs in both Firefox and
Chromium. It affects people with the standard Ubuntu repositories as
well as those with updated Adobe Flash.

This has been discussed at length in the Ubuntu forums. The main thread:
   http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1698956

A reliable workaround has been found: disable hardware acceleration:
   http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=10520930#post10520930

This seems to be a problem with Adobe Flash.

Aaron,

Setting the status to rejected here only means that the report is not
related to flashplugin-nonfree. Your report is probably be very
valid, covering a real issue. I'm not sure how to address that issue.

Dosemu just refused to launch, returning the error

Maybe it's the same problem as this:
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/dosemu-freedos/+bug/52857

  After having tried
several workarounds, finally I downloaded a rpm package from
 http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/dosemu/dosemu-1.2.2-1.i386.rpm%3Fdownload

Good for you.

  but if
I accept the auto-update of Ubuntu for dosemu, it fails again.

I guess that's normal.

According to the dosemu developper, it's because debian failed to adopt
the latest package and it uses dead code. For further information,
 please see: http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0503.3/1942.html

[Bug 55455] Re: system crashes when playing movie

2006-08-10 Thread Bart Martens
The reporter reported additionally in a private e-mail that this command

strings /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/libflashplayer.so |grep LNX

produces LNX 7,0,63,0.

I'm changing the status from needs info back to unconfirmed. I
cannot reproduce the problem. Let's keep this bug open for some time so
that other users can confirm whether they can reproduce the problem.

Anyone, please confirm whether (yes/no) you can reproduce this problem.

[Bug 45722] Re: flashplugin-nonfree doesn't uses the proxy debconf key

2006-07-12 Thread Bart Martens
If flashplugin-nonfree depends on wget, then it seems appropriate to
assume that wget is properly configured. See http_proxy and ftp_proxy
in /etc/wgetrc. Maybe you want to add debconf panels to wget to
configure proxy for wget.

(I don't know either how to push bugs from launchpad to Debian, but
maybe that's not necessary if the Debian maintainer is already reading
here. :) )
