With Ubuntu 16.04, there is no video output and switching to another tty
does not work either. The monitor shows a "no video input" message, the
screen is black. This seems to happen with kernel >= 4.4.2. The current

Unfortunatelly, I can't provide you with more info. That machine has
gone, and I see no problems on the other machine. Please close this bug.

I have a very similar problem, however, sound is not going through HDMI
but through internal analog audio to external speakers. When LG LED TV
is put on standby, there is no sound on external speakers. Box is used
as HTPC for music and radio.
It seems that sound events are put in a queue. When
Aaaargh. Commented in wrong bug, please ignore above. Sound is

Public bug reported:
Box is connected to new LG LED TV over HDMI. After resuming from
standby, the screen is completely scrambled. Like it is broken in
diagonal lines.
If the color on the screen are changed, it is visible on the screen, but
not the shapes. Like bad sync.

i wrote a temporary workaround
1) create a standole gallery (for the hmtl files)
2) create gallery files only
3) run the attached script
4) merge everything

I still have this too. I thought installing mozplugger was the solution
but seems not. The first pdf document on a webpage opens correct in
Evince, but with the second document Firefox only gives the 'Save as'
option. I didn't install the firefox-gnome-support package because I use
Xubuntu.

Had the same error.
Additionally - when i tried to restore the saved XP-VM i found out that the
snapshot file was somehow deleted after the error occured.

xfprint4 and a2ps seems to do the work. I have three other packages on
my system for printing which are: gnome-cups-manager cups-pdf cupsys-
driver-gutenprint. I don't have a default Xubuntu system but I installed
everything myself so this is all that I have installed to get Mousepad
to print on
