[Bug 668775] [NEW] read only = no for Profiles in default smb.conf
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: samba-common Hello all I'm suggesting to add line 'read only = no' for Profiles share in default smb.conf file. Then the complete share def looked like ;[profiles] ; comment = Users profiles ; path = /home/samba/profiles ; guest ok = no ; browseable = no ; create mask = 0600 ; directory mask = 0700 ; read only = no The reason is simply I spent two days figuring out why my Samba PDC did not work. That line was missing. Not very clever, I know. (Profile share must be writable if used) Still I'd like to save others from the same error.
