Hi Ursula,

i did as you asked but it didn't output what you said it would. Below is
what showed in the terminal:

jose@jose-B:~$ testparm -s --parameter-name='disable netbios'
Load smb config files from /etc/samba/smb.conf
rlimit_max: increasing rlimit_max (1024) to minimum Windows limit
(16384)
Processing section [homes]
Processing section [netlogon]
Processing section [profiles]
Processing section [printers]
Processing section [pdf-documents]
Processing section [pdf-printer]
Loaded services file OK.
WARNING: You have some share names that are longer than 12 characters.
These may not be accessible to some older clients.
(Eg. Windows9x, WindowsMe, and smbclient prior to Samba 3.0.)
No
jose@jose-B:~$ echo

Any idea why the networking doesn't work?

Thanks,

Please, could you try running this?
   $ testparm -s --parameter-name='disable netbios'

First command should output info about your smb.conf file, and echo $?
should return 0 or 1, which indicates if the previous command (testparm)
 succeeded or failed.

Please, let me know if you find any problems doing that.

 Thanks!

[Bug 780630] Re: Unity top panels, Notification area not responding

2011-06-01 Thread Bequia Ubuntu
Did you whitelist all applications to allow all apps to display system
tray icons? I noticed this bug after i did that on mine to get the
alarm clock icon showing.

[Bug 660314] Re: Audacity missing main menu

2011-02-14 Thread Bequia Ubuntu
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 662077 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/662077

If you need to get your menu back without having to make a launcher or
use the terminal command every time, just remove appmenu-gtk using
synaptic package manager because it somehow clashes with another
package. That's the best 'permanent' workaround until the bug in appmenu
is fixed.

I found it here ( in the comments at the bottom) :

gnome-applications/
