[Bug 803516] Re: unable to write a new mail after last update
I'm having this problem as well. When I try to compose a new message (either by clicking Write or Reply or Reply All), it pulls up an empty new message window. [Bug 310771] [NEW] gnome-screenshot misplaces mouse pointer
Public bug reported: When taking a single-window screenshot (using the alt-PrtSc shortcut), the mouse pointer in the resulting image is in the wrong location. To create the attached image, I positioned the mouse pointer at the center of the large smiley face, at roughly the center of my 1024x768 screen. The actual mouse pointer does NOT move; just the image is affected. I suspect gnome-screenshot confuses the coordinates of the mouse within the focused window with the coordinates relative to the root window. Some experiments that seem to confirm this: If the focused window is at the top left of the screen (below the top panel), the incorrect mouse position is slightly above the real mouse position, by a distance similar to the height of the panel.) If the focused window is at the bottom left, the incorrect mouse position is substantially above the actual mouse position (corresponding approximately to the distance between the top of the window and the top of the screen.) A similar effect occurs if the window is not flush with the left side of the screen (ie, if the window is in the center of the screen, the pointer will be translated both up and to the left). The pointer may be cut off (image showing the partial pointer or no pointer at all) if the window is moved far enough to the right or bottom. ** Affects: gnome-utils (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete ** Tags: coordinates gnome-screenshot image mouse pointer screenshot -- gnome-screenshot misplaces mouse pointer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/310771 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 106277] Assistive Technology Suport Disabled no AT-SPI
Public bug reported: On session login a box pops saying that Assistive Technology for the session has been disabled because it can't find or star AT-SPI. I am running the latest version of Feisty as of 4-12-07. I have also noticed this happening on the live cds. Herd 4 to be exact. This should be top priority to fix as it makes it impossible for people with disablitities to use Ubuntu. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Assistive Technology Suport Disabled no AT-SPI https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/106277 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 95977] Re: Orca install error when upgrading to Fiesty
Yes, I had the latest updates. It may have been a freak thing. I did the standard upgrade from 6.10 to Feisty using the command line and then that brought up the update thing with the upgrade button that I clicked on. It was using the us repositories. I fixed it by uninstalling orca and gnopericus. Then I ran the apt-get build-dep gnome-orca. Then I installed orca again. It should be noted that the version of Orca I was using before the upgrade was a newer build. The main reason I am worried about this is that other people may not be as able as me at trouble shooting and running the latest version of Orca is important as it fixes bugs in earlier versions. The computer is now happily running 2.18 and I will be installing 2.19 on it soon. -- Beth Koenig [EMAIL PROTECTED] Director of Deaf Blind Services Orange County Deaf Advocacy Center http://www.deafadvocacy.org/dbs Health, safety, and productivity are the cornerstones of independence.
